Nelson’s Journey Fundraising Meal
Norwich-based charity Nelson’s Journey held a successful fundraising dinner at Riverbank Chinese Buffet Restaurant in Norwich last night (28th Feb 2016). Nelson’s Journey helps to support children who have suffered bereavement. Since being founded in 1997, they have helped hundreds of children who have experienced the death of a loved one. Riverbank Chinese Buffet Restaurant kindly donated 40 places for the fundraising dinner, giving all of the money to the charity. With additional donations and a raffle of donated prizes, on the night a total of £785 was raised.

There was a variety of donated raffle prizes including champagne, a boat trip on the broads and a signed copy of “Escaping Hitler: A Jewish Boy’s Quest for Freedom and his Future” by local best-selling author Phyllida Scrivens.
All of the diners thoroughly enjoyed the meal and were thrilled with the total raised. Later this year, Simon Wright will be engaging in a slightly more challenging fundraising activity – jumping out of a plane! A group of brave skydivers will be doing a sponsored jump in aid of Nelson’s Journey. Simon is pictured below with 2 of his fellow skydivers.
