On Wednesday 9th March 2016, members of the Norfolk Network took part in a NUA Networking Event. The NUA (Norwich University of the Arts) trains people in various creative industries from graphic design to photography. Lucy Marks, Managing Director of the Norfolk Network, gave a 1 hour presentation to NUA students to help them understand the benefits of networking and how to go about it.

Chris Spalton produced the sketch below to summarise Lucy’s presentation to the NUA students. You can see more of Chris Spalton’s work here.

There were a variety of professionals working in various creative industries present to talk with the students. From marketing to media, design to photography, a wide variety of Norfolk Network members businesses helped to support this event. For many students it was their first time attempting to network. So, it made it easier to have experienced, friendly people to hand to help them get started.

The NUA Networking Event has become an annual fixture and helps to cement the relationship further between them and the Norfolk Network. Only a few weeks earlier, Norfolk Network members had met up at the new NUA Ideas Factory just round the corner for a lunchtime networking session. The Ideas Factory has been open around 6 months and it was an excellent opportunity to see its facilities.
