Holiday Property Photography

The Windmill Blackthorn Hill
The Windmill Blackthorn Hill was the second converted windmill that I photographed. Like The Windmill Suffolk, it has been renovated and modernised to provide luxury holiday accommodation. The main feature visible as you approach is of course the windmill tower itself. The top floor lounge offers views of the surrounding landscape and is a real feature.
But, there’s more to this windmill than initially meets the eye. Underneath there is a large extension offering additional accommodation and a private garden. The tower is perfect for 2, but for larger parties of up to 10 people you can rent the whole thing, including the impressive underground extension. The architecture is high quality, echoing the windmill above it and with a character all of its own. The garden offers outdoor seating areas and even a pizza oven.
To ensure that we had images showing the great potential for evening dining and celebrations I photographed the property during the day and into the evening. The character changes with the changing light. It is spacious and will no doubt prove popular with larger groups of family or friends.
